Faith in Action Service Cards
Faith in Action Service Cards help children connect simple acts of kindness with discipleship. The activity is easy to run, takes very little setup, and gives each child a practical way to serve at home, at church, or in the neighborhood during the week.
How To Run It
- Begin with a short discussion about how Jesus Christ served others and how small acts of kindness matter.
- Show the service cards and explain that each one gives a simple way to act on faith during the week.
- Let each child choose one or two cards, or hand out cards randomly if you want the challenge to feel more like a surprise.
- Give a few minutes for the children to read their cards, ask questions, and decide when they could do the service.
- Invite them to report back the next week about what they did, how it felt, and what they learned about serving like the Savior.
Helpful Tips
- Choose cards that fit the age and home situation of your group.
- Encourage simple, realistic service instead of big projects that need a lot of adult planning.
- Remind children to ask a parent before doing service outside the home or making something for another family.
- Keep a few blank cards ready so leaders can write a custom service idea that fits a child's situation.
