How To Run It

  1. Divide children into teams of two to four.
  2. Give each team the same amount of marshmallows and toothpicks or spaghetti.
  3. Challenge teams to build the tallest freestanding tower within a time limit.
  4. Measure the towers and notice which designs stayed stable.
  5. Give teams a short rebuild round to improve their design.
  6. Discuss what shapes and supports worked best.
