This matching game helps children remember prophets through clear picture cards, short clues, and simple discussion points. The printable sheets now use one consistent portrait card size so leaders can mix and match without mismatched cards or duplicate-looking portraits.
How To Run It
- Print the two prophet picture sheets and cut the cards apart along the dashed lines.
- Choose 8 to 12 prophets for one round, or use both sheets together when your group is ready for a bigger challenge.
- Match picture cards to name cards, fact cards, or leader clues depending on the age of the group.
- Spread the cards face up for younger children or face down for a memory-style game.
- After each match, pause for a short teaching moment about what that prophet teaches us today.
- Finish by asking the children how listening to prophets helps them follow Jesus Christ.
Easy Variations
- For younger groups, leave the picture cards visible and read one clue at a time.
- For older groups, let the children match names or facts to the correct picture.
- Hide the cards around the room and turn it into a quiet search-and-match game.
- If you want more movement, place the picture cards on one side of the room and have children carry the correct clue to the match.
- If your group is very small, use the leader cards as discussion prompts instead of cutting everything apart.
