This activity turns scripture study into a movement-based search that feels playful while still leading to a thoughtful gospel discussion.

How To Run It

Choose 5 to 8 short scriptures or clue cards connected to your lesson theme.
Hide the clues before the children arrive.
Put the children into pairs and have them search for one clue at a time.
After each clue, read the verse together and ask what it teaches.
Finish with a short testimony or challenge connected to the lesson.

What does this verse teach about Jesus Christ?
How could someone your age live this scripture this week?
What word in the verse stands out most?

Treasure Or Treat Idea

You can definitely end the hunt with a small treasure. It could be a simple basket with wrapped candy, scripture bookmarks, stickers, pencils, or a note that says “The word of God is a treasure.” The treat is not the main point, but it makes the activity feel complete and gives the final clue a satisfying finish.
